Job Summary

The Deputy Manager - Logistics and Supply Chain Management will assist in managing Fretron's on-ground operations and support the Manager in achieving operational goals. This role emphasizes coordination with the field team, including technicians and MIS executives, to ensure smooth execution of daily logistics workflows.

The Deputy Manager will focus on monitoring operations, preparing performance reports, addressing on-ground challenges, and contributing to incremental efficiency improvements. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and the Manager, with a strong emphasis on execution rather than strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • - Support the Manager in overseeing Fretron's on-ground operations, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • - Coordinate with field technicians and MIS executives to maintain seamless day-to-day logistics workflows.
  • - Monitor logistics processes, identify areas for incremental improvement, and recommend solutions to the Manager.
  • - Assist in the adoption and effective utilization of Fretron's Transport Management System (TMS) across operations.
  • - Prepare and review MIS reports to track performance metrics and present insights to the Manager.
  • - Address and resolve on-ground challenges promptly to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • - Act as a bridge between the field team and internal departments to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
  • - Ensure adherence to safety protocols, operational standards, and client requirements.
  • - Assist in conducting training sessions to equip the field team with the necessary skills for effective execution.

Skills and Qualifications

  • - Minimum 3-4 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • - Proven ability to coordinate on-ground operations and manage support teams effectively.
  • - Strong knowledge of logistics workflows, including fleet management and supply chain processes.
  • - Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
  • - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • - Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • - Hands-on experience with logistics technology or TMS platforms is preferred.
  • - A proactive work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
