Job Overview
The Manager - Logistics and Supply Chain Management will play a critical role in overseeing Fretron's operational activities on the ground at the client location. This position demands strong leadership skills to manage a diverse team, including field technicians and MIS executives, while ensuring seamless collaboration with the client’s team. The Manager will be responsible for driving the effective implementation and utilization of Fretron’s Transport Management System (TMS), optimizing logistics workflows, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency scores, turnaround times, and equipment utilization.
As a bridge between Fretron and the client, the Manager will ensure that operational objectives are met, challenges are resolved promptly, and value is delivered consistently. This role also involves mentoring the ground team, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with client standards and operational protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- - Manage Fretron’s on-ground operations, collaborating closely with the client to align logistics and supply chain activities with project goals.
- - Oversee the performance of the ground team, including field technicians and MIS executives, ensuring effective execution of their roles and responsibilities.
- - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that operational deliverables are met, addressing challenges promptly and effectively.
- - Drive the adoption and utilization of Fretron's Transport Management System (TMS) by providing necessary guidance and ensuring adherence to processes.
- - Monitor logistics metrics such as turnaround times, equipment utilization, and efficiency scores to ensure optimal performance.
- - Prepare and analyze regular MIS reports to track operations and identify areas for improvement.
- - Act as the primary liaison between Fretron and the client, ensuring timely communication and resolution of issues.
- - Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics and supply chain workflows on the ground.
- - Conduct training and mentoring sessions for the team to enhance skills and improve performance.
- - Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational standards, and client expectations.
Skills and Qualifications
- - Minimum 4-5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- - Hands-on experience in managing on-ground teams, including technicians and support staff.
- - Strong understanding of logistics operations, including fleet management and supply chain processes.
- - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- - Excellent leadership and team management skills to drive on-ground efficiency and collaboration.
- - Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to achieve operational objectives.
- - Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- - Prior experience with logistics technology or TMS platforms is preferred.
